Throughout my mentorship, my love for the medical field has not only increased, but proven to be my passion. I enjoy caring for others and helping them when they have need. A doctor always seemed like the way to go, until I was actually immersed into the field. I came to realize that the medical profession has so many opportunities and is not limited to the most well known occupation of a doctor. When working in the hospital, I experienced many different roles and had the privilege to narrow down the two most favorable options for myself. Many people believe that a Physician's Assistant and a Medical Doctor are remotely the same thing. Those people would be correct. From what I have discovered, due to my research, the pros greatly outweigh the cons of becoming a PA rather than a MD. During my mentorship, I was able to interview reliable sources for the argument on both sides and come to a conclusion on what my future occupation will be. I gained a hefty amount of knowledge from their experiences and used it to comprise an idea of the kind of lifestyle I would prefer to live. The stress of the job can be a deal breaker. The research I have conducted evaluates bold differences between the two, such as education, workload, and money. While they are virtually the same occupation, a PA does have more restrictions. In reality it is personal preference that becomes the deciding factor.
